Large balance troubled accounts (LBTA)

This area is a specialization for MRA’s Legal Team. Our attorneys resolve these accounts - whether
accident-related or not - that have large remaining insurance balances (exceeding $10,000) which have been pended, denied, delayed, challenged or underpaid for any reason. Simply put, troubled accounts are claims that have insurance proceeds available, but the payers have simply not paid the hospital due to denial, pending, delay or stall tactics.

Some examples of these scenarios are: subrogation issues, COB complications, unwarranted discounts or reductions, slow paying accounts or payers, pre-certification denials, MCO contract disputes, medical necessity challenges, pre-existing condition denials, silent PPO issues, etc.
